Lower merion township trash1/19/2024 In January 2018 he resigned his seat to take on the role as Assistant Director of Public Works. Prior to coming on staff, Mr. McElhaney was an elected Lower Merion Township Commissioner, representing Ward 3 for 10 years, serving terms as both Vice President and President of the Board of Commissioners. Services such as road maintenance, refuse/recycling collection and processing, installation and maintenance of sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems and development and oversight of the Township’s Capital Improvement Program are just a few of the services that fall under Mr. Paul McElhaney joined the Township’s management team in 2018 and is responsible for overseeing the many functions of the Public Works Department.
